1) Laser printers are a lot like photocopiers, because photocopiers use light to make an exact copy of a printed page. After so light is reflected onto a light sensitive drum, static electricity is used to make ink particles stick to the drum and after so the ink will be fused in the paper.
2) The only significant difference from a photo copier(as described above) and a laser printer is that a laser printer has no original copy printed already so it has to write it out all by itself.
3) One of the advantages of a laser printer is that it uses no ink, you may ask ''how does it print then?' The answer to that question is that it uses toner which is plastic and iron particles which melt onto the paper using special heated rollers!
4) A cartage of toner lasts multiple prints and it is cheaper than ink that is why laser printers ore widely used.
